Student-Led Conferences

Thank you for visiting our ELL classroom during the Student Led Conferences, which was held just before the Spring Break. Many students and their families visited our classroom to engage with and enjoy the learning activities we have used during our ELL instruction so far.

Here are are few of our interactive stations. Students and families were welcomed to try our sorting, bead and wax sticks colour/shape activities, as well as our step by step listening and drawing activity.

Getting to Know Each Other

This week we spent time getting to know each other. We had discussions about our favourite books, movies, food, animals, hobbies and sports. We discovered that although we are all different, we also share similar interests.

I brought in some personal items to show and tell students about my favourite 
books, movies, food, animals, hobbies and sports.

We then had a group discussion.
Each student shared something about their interests.
